 This sporty kayak, called the Waverider lives up to its name in performance. Suitable for rapid river touring, it is also great for slalom and sea surfing. Easily built from plywood over bulkhead type removable formers, the boat is stitched together with wire and covered with epoxy resin and 2" fiberglass tape along all seams. It features a pitched deck which knifes through water forcing waves away from the paddler. The boat paddles with ease and responds to the kayaker's stroke smartly.
