Photo to the right was submited by a customer from Hermitage, Pennsylvania, who constructed the 26' model from a complete hull kit. The customer then modified the forward section of the cabin as he required additional room inside the cabin. As can be seen, he certainly did an excellent job. A stern drive engine was installed with two 50 gallon gas tanks. Epoxy Plus wood epoxy saturation technique was used throughout.
Bel Aire cuddy cabin is one of our most popular models, it does everything. It is great for skiing, fishing or diving. The cozy cuddy cabin features full size berths and place for a toilet. Side windows open for breeze and comfort. The chine is extra wide, and the cabin head room ample. A great choice for a family with children who can't take an entire day in the sun afloat.
Designed for plywood construction, the rugged deep vee hull of our new Bel Aire uses a single layer of 3/8" plywood for the sides. Its 1/2" bottom is easy to form using two layers of 1/4" plywood glued with Epoxy Plus. All precut parts plus plans, instructions, glue, fastening, etc. are supplied with the complete Boat Kit.
All Cabin glass (3/16 plexiglass) are furnished with the complete Boat Kit. Bunks, less upholstery, are furnished along with cabin and cockpit floor. The cabinets only are furnished for the galley area. Seats are not supplied for the Bel Aire Cruiser though a variety of options are available from various manufacturers. Small windshield pictured is also furnished. All parts for toilet encloser are furnished, less toilet.
