Conditions like this severely restrict anything with a motor on it, but are just right for a ten foot six, twenty pound canoe that only takes a couple of inches to float in. Wee Lassie's sleek shape also makes her easy to paddle against the wind or across the wind.
Just in passing, using a double paddle in Wee Lassie can
be an excellent aerobic exercise. Especially for the person
whose body cannot take the stress of running. Most joggers
look like they are in agony, most canoers (in a Wee Lassie)
look like they are enjoying themselves, yet the benefits
can be the same. Something to think about!
FEATHERWEIGHT DESIGN WEE LASSIE - 10.5
The caned seat is raised up about 2 inches off the bottom
of the canoe and a thwart is set where it makes a
comfortable back rest with the aid of a floatation pillow.
I normally use a 9 foot feathered double paddle. The boat
is responsive, fast, tracks well and is comfortable
handling rough water like a duck. Because of its light
weight this canoe is extremely easy to car top and carry
to and from the water. Because the Wee Lassie is so easy
to handle and carry, you will find you use it much more
than a bigger heavier canoe. Capacity up to 175 lbs.
