 The UH 15P has very low air drag which allows higher speeds. The long pointed shape also planes easier or with greater load than shorter crafts. The 15P hull is simple to build and features the latest hull bottom shape and drainage system. An optional duct around the thrust prop increases performance 10 to 15% if built to plans. The 15P was featured in Popular Mechanics magazine in May 1986 and is the best racing craft available.
Engines: Lift- 8 to 10 HP 4 cycle vertical shaft mover type weighing 40-50 lbs. ( 10 HP Tecumseh works well.) Thrust: 10-20 HP 4 cycle mower type engine for direct drive or 20-80 HP 2 cycle belt drive for high performance.
