 With its 5 ft. wide cockpit the 17T comfortably seats 6 adults with plenty of leg room in its 2 bench seats. The wide cockpit and moveable front seat permit easy trimming of the craft when underway by shifting the weight of the people. The canopy can be fully enclosed and a heater easily installed for cold weather operation.
The lightweight 17T hull skinned with 1/8, 5/32 or 4 mm plywood results in a large payload capability and floats high and stable when engines are shut down on water. A wide range of the most popular and economical 4 cylinder auto engines can be used for thrust. The standard radiator, alternator, and starter are used. The twin engine design is faster and cheaper to build and the separate lift engine provides proper lift for operation over multiple surfaces and varied conditions. The 17T will pull a water skier with a 70 HP thrust engine.
