The versatile Bel Aire hull form makes a fine center console model. The extra wide chine helps keep the hull stable and straight very useful to the serious fisherman who spends much time at trolling speeds. This boat is a sea smoothing, dry riding machine, at home in rough water. The whole family will enjoy its open walkaround hull which gives you complete freedom of movement so necessary in sport fishing. This hull design is fine for camping, skin diving or swimming. It handles a heavy load of camping gear with ease no crawling under cramped decks for storage. Seating arrangements are flexible and the builder has the option of altering the layout to suit himself in case he prefers such additions as rod racks, toilet, fish box etc. The basic hull provides a sound starting point. You can custom build these items into the boat, placing them exactly where you want them.
Designed for plywood construction, the rugged deep vee hull of our Bel Aire uses a single layer of 3/8" plywood for the sides. Its 1/2" bottom is easy to form using two layers of 1/4" plywood glued with Epoxy Plus. All precut parts plus plans, instructions, glue, fastening, etc. are supplied with the complete Boat Kit.
