POLYESTER RESIN

Polyester resin and fiberglass cloth have been used for boat covering and repair for the past 30 years, by the amateur and professional alike. Though polyester resin does not have the strength, flexibility and adhesion to wood that epoxy does, it does do an adequate job and is somewhat less expensive. Should you decide to use polyester resin, be assured that we supply only the highest quality materials and our Super XXX Polyester Resin is among the best on the market today. For applications requiring greater adhesion and maximum tensile strength, we highly recommend our Epoxy-Plus resins. Both resins may be used for covering wooden boats with fiberglass cloth.

For further information on using fiberglass materials, we recommend our book entitled "Amateur Boatbuilding" listed in this store.

NOTE: Polyester Resins may not cure over epoxy and should not be used over Epoxy.
